Placement: Permanent Representation of Turkey to the United Nations

Description of Duties: Reporting of the calendar meetings at the United Nations; conducting researches on the topics assigned by career diplomats, assistance with the organization and coordination of meetings at the Turkish center; and providing assistance to the official delegations from Republic Of Turkey, translating and summarizing document from/to English and Turkish. I also conducted research on "Universal Jurisdiction Over Genocide Under The Customary International Law".

Future Career Plans: My biggest desire is to obtain a full time job in the US after graduation to gain more experience. I will later go back home to Turkey to join the Turkish Foreign Service to serve my country at my highest ability. The internship at the United Nations exposed me to the real world of diplomacy and I think that's the place I need to be in.
