Sponsor Academic Credit
The Professional Practice staff provides departmental support for developing, structuring, monitoring, and evaluating students’ internship and cooperative education experiences. Our data indicates that each year between 250 and 300 students enhance their internship and co-op experience by enrolling in credit linked to their major.

Position Referrals
Faculty members are frequently approached by outside organizations for referrals of students for employment. Faculty can forward information regarding potential research and internship/co-op opportunities to The Shriver Center. The Professional Practice staff can assist in recruiting qualified candidates to fill these positions. Recruiting efforts include the posting of positions on PlacePro, our on-line database for student resumes and open positions; targeted emails; presentations to student groups; pre-screening candidates; and coordination of information sessions and interview schedules.
